Top 5 Disc Golf Discs Friday October 23, 2026

The headline move on Oct 23, 2026 is wonderfully on brand for disc golf shoppers. The Kastaplast Berg, a disc that flies like it has plans for dinner, climbs from #11 to #5. According to the latest DiscList rankings, that is the biggest shake-up inside the Top 10, and it says plenty about what players are hunting for right now.

Let’s get the boring bit out of the way, because it matters. The Buzzz is still #1, and it has now held the top spot for 187 straight weeks. That is not hype, that is habit. When people are tinkering with their bag, the Buzzz tends to be the disc they keep and everything else has to audition around it. The Pixel remains #2 and the Destroyer stays #3, which gives the top of the chart a very familiar backbone: one do-it-all mid, one point-and-shoot putter, and one big driver for people who like their flights with a side of authority.

Then the Berg turns up, clears its throat, and climbs six places. The funniest part is that nobody buys a Berg because they want an extra 30 feet. They buy it because they are tired. Tired of rollaways, tired of glidy float that sails past the pin, and tired of trying to throw touch shots with something that has opinions. The Berg is basically a promise that the disc will stop where it lands, and this week a lot of players clearly fancied making that promise to themselves.

Just behind the top three, the Crave holds at #4 and is marked as heating up. That tracks. It is the fairway driver that makes you feel like your form is cleaner than it probably is. If you are building a sensible bag, Crave plus Buzzz is a very easy “I can play most courses with this” pairing.

The rest of the Top 10 reads like a tug-of-war between comfort and experimentation. The Hex slips one place to #6, the Envy drops to #8, and the Mamba takes the biggest knock inside the Top 15, sliding from #8 to #11. That little shuffle feels like buyers rebalancing towards dependable shapes rather than chasing understable drama at full speed. Meanwhile the Mako 3 sits at #10, still doing what it always does: holding a straight line and quietly selling to people who would rather hit gaps than argue with fade.

Outside the Top 10, a couple of classic “I need a tool, not a toy” picks nudge upward. The Firebird climbs to #14 and is heating up, which usually means the season has turned and people are remembering that wind exists. The MVP Trail and Wave also tick upwards at #12 and #13, both heating up too, which hints at a broader appetite for controllable distance rather than pure max-speed bravado.

One last nerdy footnote worth mentioning: the biggest risers this week happen way down the overall chart, like the Wedge leaping 383 spots to #232 and the Flow jumping 333 places to #281. That is the post of the week for bargain hunters and nostalgia rummagers, and it is always fun when the long tail starts wagging.

If this week has a theme, it is simple. Buyers are picking discs that reduce awkward outcomes. Less searching, fewer cut rolls, fewer “how did that turn so much?” moments. If that mood sticks, next Friday’s list could get very interesting, especially if the Top 5 starts feeling a bit crowded.
