Is your disc golf bag actually working for you?
BagIQ is a free disc golf bag decision engine built by Golf With Discs and powered by DiscList™ data. It spots the gaps and overlap in your bag, and recommends the right disc based on how you actually throw — not what the flight numbers on the box say.
What BagIQ actually does
What does BagIQ do?
BagIQ answers three questions every disc golfer asks about their bag: What’s missing? What’s redundant? What should I buy next? It’s a decision engine, not an inventory tracker.
Finds the gaps in your bag
A bag gap is a shot type or distance range that no disc in your bag covers reliably given your arm speed, throw type, and confidence. BagIQ maps your discs against the shots you need and tells you which slot is empty, what kind of disc fills it, and which specific discs are worth considering right now — using DiscList™ Flight Classification (Early Turn, Progressive Turn, True Flight, Assured Fade, Lockdown Fade).
Spots the overlap (Disc Detox)
Bag overlap is two or more discs that cover the same effective shot slot. Disc Detox stacks any overlapping pair side by side — same flight class, same stability — so you can decide which one earns its place and which one rides the bench. Lock the discs you trust most and Detox works around them.
Tells you what disc to buy next
When BagIQ finds a gap, it recommends specific discs based on how you actually throw — not just the flight numbers on the box. You can see live stock, prices, and where to buy directly in the app. Recommendations are sourced from DiscList™ weekly rankings.
How it works
How do you build a Bag Map?
Three steps. Two minutes. No account required — your bag stays on your device.
- 1
Add your discs
Search by name. Tap to add. A full bag takes about 30 seconds.
- 2
Tell BagIQ how you throw
Forehand, backhand, high release, low and flat. Good enough is good enough.
- 3
Get your Bag Map
A 2-axis chart of what your bag does, what is missing, and which disc fixes it.
BagIQ stores your bag locally on your device. You can export it, share a read-only public link, or open it on another device using a short share code — no account, no email, no tracking.
Built on real data
Powered by DiscList™.
BagIQ is powered by DiscList™ — the same data behind The DiscList weekly disc golf rankings. Recommendations are based on DiscList Flight Classification, capability tags, and real player data. Not guesswork. Not paid placements.
The affiliate star (★) shows when Golf With Discs earns a small commission if you buy through a link. It never affects which disc BagIQ recommends.

Common questions
Disc golfer FAQs about BagIQ.
Is BagIQ free?
Yes. BagIQ is completely free, with no subscription, no trial, and no account required. It is built by Golf With Discs and powered by DiscList data.
Do I need to know flight numbers to use BagIQ?
No. BagIQ handles flight classification on its side — it uses DiscList Flight Classification (Early Turn, Progressive Turn, True Flight, Assured Fade, Lockdown Fade) automatically. You only describe what you do with each disc and how confident you feel throwing it.
Will BagIQ work with my current bag?
Yes. You can add as many or as few discs as you like. Three discs is enough to generate a useful Bag Map, and you can always add more later.
Does my bag get saved?
Yes. Your bag saves automatically to your device using local storage. You can also export it as a file or share a short read-only link to open on another device or send to a friend.
Who made BagIQ?
BagIQ is built by the Golf With Discs team and powered by DiscList™ data. It is a free tool and will always be free.
Is BagIQ a disc inventory tracker?
No. BagIQ is a bag decision engine, not an inventory manager. It starts from how you actually throw and maps your bag against a full shot-coverage model — identifying gaps, overlap, and recommended next discs. It does not track every disc you own.
Ready to sort your disc golf bag?
