If you owned the “Crave at #2” storyline last week, Sep 18, 2026 has politely taken it out back and replaced it with something spicier. According to the latest DiscList rankings, the Axiom Crave has dropped all the way to #9. That is not a gentle slide, that is a disc getting nudged off the shopping basket by other temptations.

Meanwhile, the very top is doing its best impression of British weather, steady, dependable, and slightly smug about it. Discraft’s Buzzz holds #1 again (yes, again), stacking up its 176th week at the summit. It tells you something about what people actually buy when the hype noise dies down. A straight midrange you trust is still the closest thing disc golf has to a sensible decision.

Behind the Buzzz, though, the heavy hitters have been rearranging the furniture. The Innova Destroyer steps up to #2, with the Axiom Pixel climbing to #3. The Wraith is up to #4, and the Hex nudges into #5. That Top 5 has a clear theme: players want shapes they understand. Stable mids that hold lines, and distance drivers that forgive a bit of late-release panic while still finishing with authority.

The real charm of this week’s Top 10 is how much “putter energy” it has. The Glitch rockets from #9 to #6, and the Envy jumps from #11 to #8. Putters climbing like that is usually a sign of two things. One, people are actually practising. Two, they are buying discs that make fieldwork and catch sessions feel less like homework. The Glitch is basically a permission slip to have a laugh, while quietly improving touch. The Envy is the opposite vibe, it is controlled, point-and-shoot, and will not apologise for a firm fade.

Then there’s the Crave. Dropping seven places doesn’t mean it has become a bad disc overnight. It means the buying mood shifted. When a control driver takes a hit while putters and utility-stable classics rise, it often points to players tightening the bag. Less experimentation, more “what do I actually trust when it is breezy and I have to hit a gap?” That also makes the Firebird’s move into #10 feel perfectly timed. If you have ever thrown one when your nerves are jangling, you know why it keeps turning up in these lists.

Outside the Top 15, the funniest leap belongs to MVP’s Particle, up 398 spots to #127. That is the sort of jump that screams “restock” or “internet chatter finally turned into receipts”. We also see Discmania moulds making noisy moves lower down, with the new PD climbing hard, which fits the broader vibe: people are buying discs that promise a reliable finish and fewer surprises.
