The headline on Sep 11, 2026 is not that the Buzzz is still #1. Of course it is. At this point it feels like the Buzzz has a season ticket and the rest of the field is just popping in for a look. The real story, according to the latest DiscList rankings, is the Axiom Crave sliding up to #2 and doing it with the sort of calm confidence that makes you check your own fairways and wonder if you have been overcomplicating things.

The Crave’s jump from #4 to #2 is the kind of move that tends to come from throwers, not collectors. It is a “I want to hit gaps and stop flirting with OB” purchase. Stable, workable, not fussy. And with the Destroyer holding firm at #3, the Top 3 now reads like a tidy little bag-building philosophy: point-and-shoot mid, controllable fairway, then the big driver you swear you only throw when it’s sensible.

Just behind, the putter shuffle is quietly interesting. The Pixel drops from #2 to #4, and the Glitch slides from #6 to #9. That is not a collapse, it is more like the putter aisle getting crowded. The Berg stays planted at #10, because of course it does. The Berg is the disc equivalent of ordering the same meal every time and feeling smug about it.

The Wraith is the other big signal in the Top 10, climbing from #8 to #5. When a Wraith rises while the Destroyer stays put, it often hints at players choosing distance they can actually access on a normal Saturday, in normal wind, with normal shame. And the Mamba nudging up to #8 adds to that vibe, too. Understable distance is the comfort food of improving arms. You might buy it for hyzer-flips, but you keep it because it makes you feel athletic.

Lower in the Top 15, a few steady favourites keep doing their jobs. The Hex remains a fixture at #6, the Mako 3 sits at #7 like a perfectly level spirit bubble, and the Firebird holds at #12 while still “heating up”. That tells me people are buying utility alongside control. They want the disc that shapes the fairway and the disc that gets them out of trouble when they ignore it.

Zooming out, the wild rank swings are happening well away from the spotlight. Taipan vaulting to #200 and the Alpaca popping up to #285 are big jumps, but they are more of a “shopper stampede” than a Top 40 takeover. Still, it is a reminder that disc golfers love a good rumour, and they love trying a new mould even when the top of the chart looks boringly sensible.
