The big story in the Jul 17, 2026 Golf Disc Rankings is a fairway driver acting like it owns the place. Axiom’s Crave has made a bold leap from #10 to #4, and according to the latest DiscList rankings, that is not a gentle nudge. That is buyers putting their money behind the idea that control is fun again. Not in a “let’s play safe” way either, more in a “I’d like my disc to do what I asked” way.

It also tells you something about where we are mid-season. When scores matter and courses get a bit firmer and quicker, people start favouring the tidy tools. The Crave is the sort of fairway that flatters you without lying to you. It holds lines, it does not need a runway, and it does not demand a 500-foot arm to feel useful. That is a powerful combination when your last three rounds have included at least one hurried forehand out of jail.

Up at the very top, nothing budges. The Buzzz stays #1, continuing a frankly silly run as the longest-held top disc at 158 weeks. The Destroyer remains #2 and is marked as heating up, which is a very Destroyer thing to do while changing absolutely nothing about its chart position. The Pixel holds #3, quietly proving that putters can be trendy without being faddish. If your mate has recently announced they are “taking putting seriously”, there is a decent chance a Pixel is involved.

The knock-on effects of the Crave’s rise are where the Top 10 gets interesting. The Hex drops three spots to #7 after sitting as high as #4 last week, and the Glitch slips from #5 to #8. That reads like a shift from floaty fun and straight midrange purity towards a more structured bag. Players might still love touch discs, but they are buying something they can lean on when the wind turns up or the fairway narrows.

Meanwhile, Discraft’s Zone climbs from #13 to #10, and it feels like the disc golf equivalent of keeping duct tape in the kitchen drawer. Nobody brags about it, but everyone wants it close by. If you are debating whether you need one, you probably do, and you probably needed it last month.

Just outside the Top 10, MVP’s Wave falls to #11, and Axiom’s Envy drops to #15. That is not a crisis, it is just the market making room for a fairway driver making noise. Innova’s Wraith nudges up to #5 and the Mako 3 edges to #6, which also fits the wider theme. Throwers are buying discs they trust to behave on a normal golf line, not a highlight reel line.

Further down the chart, the week’s funniest subplot is the sheer scale of a couple of jumps. Westside’s Shield rockets 340 places to #251, and Discmania’s Notion climbs 332 to #142. That is the sound of a few people restocking in a hurry, or one popular run landing and vanishing from shelves before anyone can pretend they were “just browsing”.
