Top 5 Disc Golf Discs Friday December 5, 2025

Some weeks a disc shifts a spot or two. Others, it barrels up the rankings like it’s been fired from a howitzer. This, lovely reader, was the latter.

Discmania’s PD2 is officially on a tear, leaping an eye-watering 199 places in just four weeks to land at #83. That’s not a shuffle, it’s an uprising. A pretty convincing one, too. This very overstable distance driver, long beloved by power throwers, seems to be riding a fresh wave of re-releases and nostalgic clicks. Might also be a few folks convincing themselves they can ‘handle it this time’. Behavioural optimism, we’ve all been there.

Meanwhile, the Leopard3 from Innova is back on the prowl at #26, re-entering the Top 40 after seven weeks in the wilderness. Always sneaky-popular, the Leopard3 thrives on familiarity and a taste for beginner-to-intermediate versatility. Blink, and you’re back bagging it again. Like that trustworthy mate you swear you’ve moved on from—until it’s parked under the basket.

At the sharp end of the rankings, it’s Buzzz, Destroyer, and Hex maintaining order. No mutiny here. Discraft’s Buzzz chalks up another week as top disc globally. If consistency were charisma, the Buzzz would already have a Netflix special.

Still, there’s some simmering beneath the surface. Luna is heating up, edging past Trail into #7. While Crave and Glitch are both showing signs of cooling after holding firm in recent months. Expect things to shuffle gently through December as folks pick putters based on frostbite resistance.

Brand-wise, Latitude 64 now sits ahead of Discmania overall, a nod to the Grim Reaper effect: discs like Diamond and Pearl climbing on subtle marketing and emotional appeal. Europe, unsurprisingly, continues its love affair with Kastaplast’s Berg and Reko. Yes, Scandinavia treats their putters like national treasures. Elsewhere, Axiom maintains momentum on the back of its science-fiction aesthetic and practically playable plastics.

Next week? Watch out for the trail of crumbs left by Sidewinder and Malita. The former, up 116 spots in recent weeks, is dangerously close to Top 40 territory. As always, the full ranking is where the true disc soap opera unfolds. See the full Top 40.
