Top 5 Disc Golf Discs Friday October 3, 2025

The Innova Wraith didn’t just climb this week—it bolted. With a six-spot jump to #3, it’s proving once again that familiarity breeds content, not contempt. Less flashy than some, the Wraith’s consistency is finally being rewarded with attention. Possibly boosted by recent tournament footage or maybe people have finally figured out it’s not just a faster Teebird on espresso. Either way, it’s riding high while others stutter.

Meanwhile, say hello to the upstart turning heads from the cheap seats: the Discraft Malita. Up 91 spots in just four weeks, now settled at #37 like it owns the place. That’s not a gentle shuffle. That’s a pogo-stick hopscotch done blindfolded. There’s behavioural gold in this. Scarcity mixed with curiosity is a mighty cocktail in disc golf—and Malita seems to be served with a twist of “have you tried this yet?”

Elsewhere in the Top 10, the Hex cools off a touch, sliding from #2 to #4. The Crave and Zone also dip, making room for the Mako3 jumping five spots to #5. Clearly, straight-flying midranges are having a moment. Perhaps it’s the season for woods golf and low ceilings, though it could just be a surge in players who’ve grown tired of throwing flex lines and praying.

The Destroyer climbs to second, quietly nipping at the heels of the still-unchallenged Buzzz. Yes, the Buzzz is now on its 23-week stint at #1, politely refusing to move like a pensioner with a prime seat on the bus.

The biggest surprise on the comeback trail? Leopard3. After a seven-week siesta, it roars back to #26. That’s either nostalgia at play or someone’s cracking out vintage Innova plastic. Worth keeping an eye on if you like your control drivers a touch more feline.

And while not in the Top 40 (yet), Doomsday’s Psyop has made some wicked gains, leaping 92 spots to crack the top 170. Alarmist name aside, it might be the sleeper hit folks didn’t realise they needed—until it turned up in a trade box looking slightly radioactive.

Next week, will the Wraith continue its ascent? Can Malita keep the hype train chugging uphill? Whatever happens, expect some oddball climbers, brutally honest fallers, and at least one disc you’ve never heard of trying its best to crash the Top 40.
