Sidewinder Soars, Leopard3 Returns: Innova Stirs the Rankings on May 30, 2025

Top 5 Disc Golf Discs Friday May 30, 2025

The disc golf rankings this week are a bit like British weather: mostly stable up top, utterly unpredictable in the middle, and full of chatter. The showstopper? That would be Innova’s Sidewinder, which staged a positively theatrical climb from 164th to 32nd. That’s not a gentle breeze up the chart—it’s a parachute-less skydive in reverse.

Why the sudden surge? Well, if I were a betting man (and I am, mostly on putts I shouldn’t attempt), I’d say it’s all about accessibility-meets-performance. The Sidewinder serves up turn and glide for days, making newer players feel like heroes and wily veterans smile with quiet approval. In other words, it flatters your form and forgives your fingers—and that’s a behaviourally seductive combo.

Right behind it in the plot twist queue is the Leopard3, also from Innova, making a triumphant reentry at #26 after seven weeks roaming disc purgatory. The Leopard3 doesn’t shout for attention, it purrs with understable grace. Its comeback suggests a wave of players are either revisiting old favourites or shifting toward finesse with their fairway selections. Either way, its return hints that delicate might be the new dominant.

Meanwhile, the top of the leaderboard is as you left it. The Buzzz continues to gaze down from its throne, unfazed, unmoved, and entirely unbothered. Hex hangs onto second place with the tenacity of clingfilm to Tupperware, and the Crave keeps quietly growing its cult. The Top 10 is more stable than a German tournament schedule—but a few subtle swings add intrigue. The Zone hops a spot up to #7, politely nudging the Wraith down a peg. The Pixel also swaps places with the Mamba to secure ninth, reminding us that while Axiom’s got splashy names, it’s the putting precision that pays the rent.

Zooming out, Doomsday Discs made their presence unusually felt with two new entries: Bleak and Chemtrail. Ironic names, considering they’re anything but invisible lately. And lettings not forget Daredevil Discs, climbing the brand charts like a Labrador spotting a squirrel—now comfortably sitting 17th overall.

Over in Europe, tranquility holds. Kastaplast continues to charm with the Berg and Reko, while Latitude 64 doubles down with River and Diamond, keeping things nice and flippy. The Americas, however, saw a quiet substitution in their top performers—subtle disc changes with the same big brand proponents still holding court.

What to expect next week? Will the Sidewinder keep whirling upward or wobble off-course? And has the Leopard3’s comeback got claws, or is this a brief sunbeam? Pop back Friday to see what shakes loose from the ranks.
