Television coverage has become a critical factor in the development,
demand and popularity of modern sports. Wouldn't it be great to
tune in to Grandstand one day and see some World Class disc action?
One day.. On the journey to a slot after 'Football Focus', this
year's British Open featured on the world-wide weekly sports show
Transworld Sport. The feature was fairly brief and they called it
Frisbee golf, however the clip was rescued by a Bud Tilton putt
falling dreadfully short! Although it was only a small feature,
literally millions of people would have seen it and hopefully enjoyed
it.
At Last Cilla!
Derek Robins appears on the Cilla Black game show, 'Moment of Truth',
September 19. Another sports programme 'RAD' covered the sport on
August 29. The coverage featured action from the Middlesex Challenge
Cup at Elthorne Park last January. The disc golf coverage was followed
by a good piece on ultimate.
