Hotel Introduces DG Course The picturesque Scottish town of Crieff is now firmly on the map! Britain's largest Leisure Hotel, the Crieff Hydro, has added Britain's first commercial Disc Golf course to its facilities. This exciting development has attracted lots of media interest. BBC Radio 4, Radio Scotland and a Gaelic TV station have all done broadcasts from the course. The Scotsman newspaper and a Perthshire (ball) golf magazine have published articles. The course and facilities arguably make it the best place in Britain for newcomers to the sport. Holes are very short, with 9 concrete tee pads, baskets, and many trees in between. The Golf Centre has changing facilities, bar and restaurant, scorecards with course map, and a Hawk and a Magnet disc for each player. All for about £3.50 for a half-day. When in Crieff, visiting golfers can also contact the Loch Monzievaird Chalets complex to check on the possibility of playing the private 9-hole post course there. Details of both courses have been added to the course information on the BDGA web-site. |
